An engineering team at work on site

Resourcing & Recruitment

We know the difference between a CV and a capability.

Engineers and engineering leaders, vetted the same way we vet partners: on evidence, by people who can read a wiring diagram.

What we find in most hiring

  • Keyword screening that puts the best-written CV at the top of the pile
  • Technical capability judged by people who cannot judge it
  • Shutdown cover sized to what is on the bench rather than to the work
  • Hires who need a fortnight before they are useful
  • Good engineers who cannot work with your shift teams

How candidates reach you

  • Technical assessment by people who have run engineering functions
  • Assessed on evidence rather than on keywords
  • Short-term cover sized to the work, not to the bench
  • People who can be useful from the first shift
  • Fit with your shift teams weighed deliberately

Assessed by engineers

Technical assessment by people who have run engineering functions. Keyword screening puts the best-written CV at the top of the pile, which is not the same as the best engineer.

Shutdown and project cover

Short-term resource for planned shutdowns, capital projects and absence cover — sized to the work rather than to what happens to be on the bench.

Hires who fit the site

Technical capability is necessary and not sufficient. A hire who cannot work with your shift teams will not last, however good the CV, so we weigh that deliberately.

Common questions

How is this different from a standard recruitment agency?

Candidates are assessed by engineers rather than screened on keywords. Someone who has actually done the job can tell in a conversation what a CV cannot tell you at all.

We also cover short-term needs — shutdowns, projects and absence — with people who can be useful from the first shift rather than needing a fortnight to find their feet.

Do you cover permanent and contract?

Both, plus temp-to-perm where you want to see someone work before committing.

What if a placement does not work out?

Talk to us and we will put it right. We are a small network with our name on every introduction, which is a stronger guarantee than most rebate clauses.

Tell us about your site.

No call centres and no account managers reading a script. You will hear back from a founder.

Request a repair quote

Tell us what has failed. You will get an honest answer on whether it is worth repairing — including when it is not.

What needs repairing

The fault as it presents, and whether the line is down. A sentence or two is plenty.
