How a repair is proven before it comes back
Nothing is signed off on a power-up. Every unit in this category goes through:
- Full power-up and parameter verification
- Load testing against a dynamometer or matched motor
- Signal simulation across all control I/O
- Soak testing at temperature to expose marginal components
- Vibration testing where the application demands it

How a repair actually runs

We collect
Tell us what has failed and where it is. Collection is arranged across the UK at no charge, and the unit is booked in against your account with its serial, its symptoms and who reported them.

We diagnose and quote
The unit is bench-tested to confirm the reported fault before anyone opens it, then stripped to component level. You get a fixed quote and an honest verdict — including when replacement is the better buy.

We repair
Board-level rework is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001. Failed components are replaced with tested equivalents, not bodged around.

We prove it, then return it
Nothing ships on a continuity check. Units are soak tested, load tested and exercised against manufacturer software, and come back with the test evidence and a 12-month warranty.
Common questions
Is it worth repairing an industrial drive?
Usually, yes. A drive repair generally costs a fraction of a new unit and sidesteps the lead time, which on obsolete or superseded models can run to months. It also avoids re-parameterising and re-commissioning a replacement — often the larger hidden cost.
Repair stops making sense when a drive is physically destroyed or the failure is so widespread that the board is uneconomic. Our repair partners will tell you when that is the case rather than quote for it.
Can you repair an obsolete drive the manufacturer no longer supports?
That is one of the strongest cases for repair. When the OEM has discontinued a model, repair is often the only route that does not force a control system upgrade, and our partners hold failure history on a lot of legacy platforms.
Do you test under load, or just power it up?
Under load. Drives are load tested and signal-simulated before release, because a bench power-up proves very little about how a drive behaves driving a real machine.
What if the drive turns out to be beyond economical repair?
You get told, with the reason. We can then source a replacement — new, refurbished or a supported equivalent — through the same single point of contact.
