How a repair is proven before it comes back
Nothing is signed off on a power-up. Every unit in this category goes through:

- I/O exercised channel by channel
- Communications verified against the host controller
- Soak and vibration testing before release
Board-level rework is carried out by IPC7711 and IPC7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001:2015, and the test evidence comes back with the unit.

How a repair actually runs

We collect
Tell us what has failed and where it is. Collection is arranged across the UK at no charge, and the unit is booked in against your account with its serial, its symptoms and who reported them.

We diagnose and quote
The unit is bench-tested to confirm the reported fault before anyone opens it, then stripped to component level. You get a fixed quote and an honest verdict — including when replacement is the better buy.

We repair
Board-level rework is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001. Failed components are replaced with tested equivalents, not bodged around.

We prove it, then return it
Nothing ships on a continuity check. Units are soak tested, load tested and exercised against manufacturer software, and come back with the test evidence and a 12-month warranty.
Common questions
Can a failed HMI or PLC be repaired at component level?
Usually, yes. These units fail at component level far more often than they fail structurally: display drivers, backlight inverters, touch digitisers, power sections, I/O channels and communication ICs are all individually replaceable.
Repair also keeps the unit's existing program and screens. Nobody has to re-develop the application or retrain operators on an unfamiliar panel, and on older equipment that is usually worth considerably more than the difference in parts cost.
Do you keep the existing program and screens?
Yes. A repair keeps the unit and its configuration — that is the main reason to repair rather than replace. Where memory hardware itself has failed, we will tell you before work starts so you can arrange a backup if one exists.
Can you repair a panel where the touchscreen has delaminated?
Usually. Digitisers and display assemblies are replaceable on most industrial panels, including many where the OEM only offers a whole-unit exchange.
We have a stack of failed panels. Is it worth sending them all?
Send the lot. Batch assessment is free of the per-unit overhead, and a recovery rate across a batch tells you a lot about whether you have a component problem or an environment problem.
Another supplier said our panel is unrepairable. Is a second opinion worth it?
Frequently, yes. "Unrepairable" usually means the last provider had no economic route to the fault, not that the unit is beyond help. Display drivers, backlight inverters, touch digitisers, power sections and communication ICs are all replaceable at component level. This matters most on older panels, where replacement means changing the panel, re-developing the screens and retraining operators — our repair partners have recovered whole populations of HMIs that had already been written off.
