Nothing is signed off on a power-up. Every unit in this category goes through:

How a repair actually runs

Four stages, one point of contact throughout. You deal with us; we deal with the workshop.

  1. We collect

    Tell us what has failed and where it is. Collection is arranged across the UK at no charge, and the unit is booked in against your account with its serial, its symptoms and who reported them.

  2. We diagnose and quote

    The unit is bench-tested to confirm the reported fault before anyone opens it, then stripped to component level. You get a fixed quote and an honest verdict — including when replacement is the better buy.

  3. We repair

    Board-level rework is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001. Failed components are replaced with tested equivalents, not bodged around.

  4. We prove it, then return it

    Nothing ships on a continuity check. Units are soak tested, load tested and exercised against manufacturer software, and come back with the test evidence and a 12-month warranty.

Common questions

When should a motor be repaired instead of replaced?

Repair is the obvious call when the windings are sound and the fault is mechanical — bearings, seals, or a feedback device. That covers the large majority of servo motor failures and is quick, cheap and completely reliable once done.

It stays worthwhile even on winding faults for high-value servo and BLDC motors, and for anything obsolete. Replacement makes more sense on small, current, low-cost induction motors.

Do you rewind motors?

Rewinds are arranged where they are the right answer — typically on high-value servo and BLDC motors, or anything obsolete. On a small current-production induction motor, replacement is usually cheaper and we will say so.

Can you repair the encoder as well as the motor?

Yes, and it is often the encoder rather than the motor. Feedback devices are tested through full travel and repaired or replaced as part of the same job.
