We collect
Tell us what has failed and where it is. Collection is arranged across the UK at no charge, and the unit is booked in against your account with its serial, its symptoms and who reported them.

The unit is bench-tested to confirm the reported fault before anyone opens it, then stripped to component level. You get a fixed quote and an honest verdict — including when replacement is the better buy.

Board-level rework is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001. Failed components are replaced with tested equivalents, not bodged around.

Nothing ships on a continuity check. Units are soak tested, load tested and exercised against manufacturer software, and come back with the test evidence and a 12-month warranty.
Common questions
What does component-level PCB repair actually mean?
It means the fault is traced to the individual failed component and that component is replaced — rather than swapping the whole board out. A dry joint is reflowed, a shorted MOSFET is replaced, a corroded track is rebuilt.
This is what makes repair viable on boards that are obsolete, embedded in a larger assembly, or simply not sold separately. Work is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians to ISO 9001 standards.
Can you repair a board with no circuit diagram available?
Yes. Most industrial boards arrive with no documentation at all. Diagnosis works from the failure signature, comparison against a known-good unit where one exists, and reverse-engineering the relevant section of the circuit.
What if the board needs a test method that does not exist?
Our repair partners run an in-house R&D function that designs and builds bespoke test rigs for exactly this. Several are documented in the case studies on this site.
Will a repaired board be as reliable as a new one?
In practice it is often more reliable, because the components that failed get replaced with current parts and the rest of the board is inspected for the same failure mode. It carries a 12-month warranty either way.
