Pneumatic & Vacuum Repair

Electro-pneumatic assemblies, controllers and vacuum pumps.

  • 7-day standard turnaround
  • 12-month warranty
  • Free UK-wide collection

Faults we see most

  • Loss of pressure or vacuum, or falling airflow efficiency
  • Failed seals and visible leakage
  • Actuator not reaching position, or drifting once there
  • Control board failures in electro-pneumatic assemblies
  • Bearing noise or increased running temperature on a pump
  • Contamination in the chamber or oil

How a repair is proven before it comes back

Nothing is signed off on a power-up. Every unit in this category goes through:

  • Position, function and load testing to replicate real service conditions
  • Airflow efficiency verified after overhaul
  • Seal integrity and pressure holding confirmed
  • Bespoke test setups built where the application needs one

Board-level rework is carried out by IPC7711 and IPC7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001:2015, and the test evidence comes back with the unit.

Manufacturers covered

The equipment seen most often in this category. If yours is not here it is still worth asking — the fault modes rarely change much between brands.

  • Festo
  • Busch
  • SMC
  • Parker

How a repair actually runs

Four stages, one point of contact throughout. You deal with us; we deal with the workshop.

  1. We collect

Tell us what has failed and where it is. Collection is arranged across the UK at no charge, and the unit is booked in against your account with its serial, its symptoms and who reported them.

  2. We diagnose and quote

The unit is bench-tested to confirm the reported fault before anyone opens it, then stripped to component level. You get a fixed quote and an honest verdict — including when replacement is the better buy.

  3. We repair

Board-level rework is carried out by IPC-7711/7721 certified technicians working to ISO 9001. Failed components are replaced with tested equivalents, not bodged around.

  4. We prove it, then return it

Nothing ships on a continuity check. Units are soak tested, load tested and exercised against manufacturer software, and come back with the test evidence and a 12-month warranty.

Common questions

What does a vacuum pump overhaul involve?

A full strip-down and deep clean of the internal components, replacement of worn bearings and seals, rotor clearance adjustment to restore performance, an oil and filter service, and functional testing to confirm airflow efficiency before the unit goes back.

Done at the right point, an overhaul returns a pump to peak operating condition for a fraction of replacement cost. Left too long, contamination and bearing wear start damaging the chamber itself.

Do you overhaul vacuum pumps as well as pneumatic controls?

Yes. Full overhauls including strip-down, deep clean, bearing and seal replacement, rotor clearance adjustment and an oil and filter service — see the vacuum pump case study on this site.

Got a unit that needs looking at?

What needs repairing

The fault as it presents, and whether the line is down. A sentence or two is plenty.
